Combat Arms version of 0x30000090

Error Code 0x30000090 is a client side error that occurs when the HackShield update has timed out or was disconnected mid-update. Usually this can happen if your connection or PC is unstable.


In some cases, this can corrupt your HackShield files and result in the error code 0x3000FFFF or 101 .

Reboot PC[]

It may simply be a temporary routing error or conflict. Reboot your PC and try again.

Winsock reset / flush DNS[]

Try a Winsock reset and flush your DNS cache. For Windows XP:

  1. Press "Windows Key" & R The Run box should now appear
  2. Type "cmd.exe" in the box and click "OK" The command prompt window should now appear
  3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press "Enter" on your keyboard
  4. Then type "netsh winsock reset" and press "Enter" on your keyboard
  5. Reboot your PC.

For Windows Vista / 7 / 8:

  1. In the start menu search bar, type "cmd" "cmd.exe" should be one of the first things on the list to appear.
  2. Right Click "cmd.exe" and select "Run as administrator" The command prompt window should now appear with administrator privledges
  3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press "Enter" on your keyboard
  4. Then type "netsh winsock reset" and press "Enter" on your keyboard
  5. Reboot your PC.

If you received a permission error, you did not do step 2 correctly.

Restart router / modem[]

Try shutting of your internet modem for 5 minutes to flush the cache. Then restart your PC and CA.
